Dr. Kerry Wittel is a unique special education professional whose career in the field of special education bring a comprehensive outlook and history of student success through amazing experiences with children, families, guardians, agencies, and school districts.
Education Liaisons, LLC is a dream realized with the need to help students who are struggling in school. Education Liaisons provides a consulting service where families, guardians, agencies, or school districts would use our expertise as a resource to support our clients and students. Today, my heart and energy move in that same positive direction, both with experience, expertise, and knowledge in special education, and all disabilities, including autism.

Dr. Wittel's special education teaching experience is extensive and varied. She earned her teaching certificate at Southern Connecticut State University and taught at Hartford Hospital, Institute of Living, Grace Webb School, in Cheshire and Bloomfield, Connecticut, Kindergarten through grade 12. Working in this hospital based program she earned a Golden Apple Award at the Connecticut Association of Private Special Education Facilities (CAPSEF). Family relocation brought Dr. Wittel to Florida, where she was a special education teacher working with students with autism at the PreK and elementary levels in multiple schools, including Title 1 rural schools. While teaching she earned her Master of Science in Special Education at Florida International University (FIU). She has also served in leadership positions, co-authored a literacy curriculum for special education students that is copyrighted by the School District of Palm Beach County, mentored new teachers, and was the cooperating teacher for students at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and FIU college completing their student teaching.
Dr. Kerry Wittel earned her doctorate in Special Education at FAU and works as a Clinical Manager at FAU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (FAU CARD), in Boca Raton, Florida. In her role at FAU CARD she supports teachers, community members, and most importantly families of children that have autism or developmental delays. She has developed many trainings including a series of parent trainings for the PreK Special Education Department for the School District of Palm Beach County. Her role at FAU CARD has involved trips to the state capitol to meet with legislatures, developing a yearly lecture series with prominent researchers, and most currently working with preservice teachers at the college in a Professional Learning Community (PLC) called Project S.T.A.R.T., (Supporting Teachers and Reducing Turnover). Dr. Wittel is an adjunct professor at FAU, teaching special education courses to teacher candidates in the teacher preparation program, and has served as the university supervisor for teacher candidates completing their student teaching. She continues to work on research in her interest area of special education teacher preparation, attrition and retention. Dr. Wittel has presented her research at conferences and continues to support students at both FAU and Florida International University (FIU)*.
Kerry has both a personal and professional interest in special education, especially autism. Her extensive experiences and education are paramount to the knowledge she hopes to share in supporting others as part of a collaborative partnership.
